Question number 1=
The diffusion of responsibility effect is something I like to call the theory of anonymity; when a groupd of people witness something bad happening to someone or something, and do nothing about it because they feel someone else will. When I fist learned about this case in my very first pscyhology class back in my freshman year of high school, I thought it to be ridiculous and figured things like this could only happen once. I was wrong; in fact it turns out that this happens much more often than I could even begin to imagine. One of the cases I found involved a 15 year olf female leaving a high school dance and being gang raped while 20 people witnessed a violent crime and did nothing to stop it, or even call the police. As angry as I am, and as much as I feel that those who watched and did nothing should be charged as an accessory to murder; I can understand on the psychological side of, well people don't want to get involved, or they feel it isn't something they need to do anything about.
came from cnn.com under the search of bystander effect.
Question number 3=
Programs like R.A.D. and R.A.D. kids, also known as Rape and Defense for women and children, teach women and children how to not only react when someone is hurting them, but also how to take proper action when someone they see is being hurt. (who to call and what to do)
