Mckenzee Blog Post 2

Well, I can already tell you that as soon as I read the description of type A personality, that it had “Mckenzee” written all over it. The word that always stood out to the most in Gleick’s writing was stress; I always have some kind of stress in my life. To be honest if I didn’t have it I probably wouldn’t do anything I needed to do. Stress is a big part of my life and a huge key in being successful. With the stress I often feel hurried or rush, I think this type of pressure makes me perform my tasks better. Al l these characteristics describe a “type A” person. Of course you know there’s always an opposite side to everything; so where there’s a “type A” there is a “type B”. As type A is aggressive, type B is more social and people friendly. Type b traits also include being more patient and persuasive. Type B personalities are important because those are the people who listen to the type A people problems with stress and pressure. I could actually see type A personalities having best friends that are type B. it makes sense one balances out the other. One personality is to strict the other not strict enough, it creates a Perfect balance.

My personality results told me I was an ENTJ (Extravert, Intuitive, Thinker, Judger). I thought these results were pretty accurate. It talks a lot about communication and being able to express thoughts and ideas clearly to people, which I do all the time. I take charge in activities and play the team leader. I spot out flaws in anything I associate myself with. When I see a flaw I do pretty well in fixing it to make it better. I’m creative and innovated, and strongly agree with finishing something I started. All these descriptions are involved in ENTJ, I thought the personality test hit me right on the money!

  3. I agree with your analysis of the differences between the type B and type A personality traits. I think you could have used a bit more of Gleick's tie-ins to your perception, but overall you did a good job at getting your points accross.
