1. In the “Life as Type A” essay by James Gleick, he claims that a person with a Type A personality has “characteristics around the theme of impatience, excessive competitiveness, aggressiveness, and a harrying sense of time urgency.” Type B personality is the opposite of Type A personality. Gleick does not provide characteristics for Type B personalities, but with research, I found that this type of person has these characteristics: easygoing, accepting, complacent personalities. This type of person is relaxed by nature and has no sense of time urgency. Type Bs do not have problems relaxing or sitting without doing anything. They may delay the work they have to the last moment and they usually don't get stressed that easily. These people could be an achiever too but his lack of sense of time urgency helps him much in not feeling stressed while doing his tasks. Also, this personality loves to party, travel and be part of groups, and is often the center of attention.

2. When I took the Personality Test, my results say that I am an ENFP (Extravert, iNtuitive, Feeler, Perceiver). I agree when it says that I am a curious, energetic, adaptable, and creative person. I am an art major and I am very creative. Also, I am very energetic, loving, playful, and talkative. Conversations with ENFPs can be very circular as they excitedly move from one topic to the next, making connections and associations. I do this all the time. ENFPs see significance in all things and prefer to keep lots of options open.

I agree with your definitions of type a and type b. I found a similar definition of type b from my source. I don't understand the sentence about the type b's possibility to be an achiever because after the "but" you don;t give a reason why they are not, just that they are less stressed. The rest I completely agree with.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your summation of type b completely. I like the way you incorporated realistic situations like being an achiever and being less stressed. I found similar information in my source and I like the way you tied it all together.
